When there is a power outage, or if you need to report problems, you will need
to call AEP at 1-800-277-2177 if you are served by Columbus Southern Power
or 1-800-672-2231 if you are served by Ohio Power.

The Public Utilities
Commission of Ohio is the state agency responsible for assuring that all
residential, small and large business and industrial consumers have access
to adequate, safe and reliable utility services at fair prices.
The Ohio Consumers' Counsel, the legal representative and utility advocate for residential customers, serves as a resource for individuals who have questions and concerns, or would like more information, about the services provided by their publicly owned electric, natural gas, telephone and water companies.
Universal Service Fund/Energy Efficiency Fund
The Ohio Department
of Development administers energy efficiency programs, HEAP, home weatherization
and low-income energy assistance programs.
Wattson
Wattson, the Ohio Electric Choice spokesrobot, is approximately 6 feet tall
and weighs about 400 pounds. He is very obviously a robot, being non-human
in appearance.
Wattson plays music, likes to dance and enjoys meeting people of all ages. Although he's frequently asked to do housework, his primary occupation is to educate AEP's customers about electric choice. He will be attending special events, fairs, schools, hospitals and other community-based programs to spread the word and a little joy. Once you've met him, you won't forget him!
Wattson's cousin appeared in Rocky 4 with Sylvester Stallone and for over a year on the daytime soap opera "Days of Our Lives." His cousin has also been on tour with James Brown and appears on various TV and news programs all over the world. Wattson is happy just to be more handsome than his older cousin.
