A new look for bills
Beginning in February 2001, bills for AEP's Ohio customers have a new look. The bills now are unbundled. This means that charges for distribution, transmission and generation charges are separately itemized. A transition charge also appears on bills.

Your bill also displays additional information not provided in the past:

  • The service delivery identifier (SDI) number, which you must provide to a new supplier in order to switch,
  • A year's worth of your kilowatthour usage history and
  • Price to compare that reflects the 5% reduction in generation for non-switching customers (residential customers only).

The bill samples below are for residential customers who continue to receive supply service from AEP. The bills for C&I customers and for customers who enroll with new suppliers will differ somewhat. Many of the differences are pointed out in the documents below.
