Offers - Electronic Bulletin Board
The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission ("FERC") has
authorized American Electric Power Service Corporation, on
behalf of AEP Operating Companies, to sell power to its affiliates
at market-based rates subject to three conditions: (1) sales
by AEPSC to an affiliate must be made at a rate that is no
lower than the rate it charges non-affiliates; (2) when AEPSC
offers to sell power to an affiliated power marketer, it
must make the same offer, at the same time, to non-affiliates
through an electronic bulletin board; and (3) AEPSC must
post simultaneously the actual price charged to its affiliates
for all transactions. In addition, under FERC's code of conduct,
any market information provided by the AEP Operating Companies
to any affiliated marketers will be disclosed simultaneously
to the public.
This Electronic Bulletin Board implements the three conditions stated above, as well as FERC's requirements regarding the sharing of market information.
